Things I am missing day 3.........................

Here is the day 3 entry of things I am missing...........

Planning Miss and her mom and daddy daughter party's...

Greatest job in the church.

This is Barbara Robins and I enjoying the moment.

My favorite was a Peter Pan night complete with hay ride down "String Town" road with my "Father in Law" dressed as a "Pirate" his tractor pulling the hay wagon thru the Fullers property to the "secret island" where the Bishop rowed us all across to the island. I was dressed as "tinker bell", Barbara was dressed as "Peter Pan", Others dressed as Indians and etc. The "Miss and their moms" hunted for buried treasure...a real treasure box filled with chocolate gold coins. We stayed until the sun went down then rowed back across to the shore and left Never Never land. It was an adventure.

I miss my kids performing at reunions:

Here is Holly, Robin, and Nikki

at the "Mayhew Reunion"

at Lorin Farr Park in Ogden singing:

We are the "Eden Girls

we wear our hair in curls

we wear our dungarees

way up above our knees

we wear our daddy's shirts

they call us little flirts

and when the boys go by

they give us "Goo Goo Eyes"

That is a little camp song I borrowed from my days with the "PV" girls

at Ben Lomond Stake Camp.

Here is another Wilson Family Performance.

The Eden 1st Ward Christmas Party.

Iola Kelley had this little charmer of a song for my kids to sing.

I bet they can still remember the words.

Just in case you can't figure it out,

Nikki is a "Care Bear", Mac is GI Joe, Holly a radio,

Robin a dummy,

and Carly a ballerina.

next performance:

Carly sang and danced at the "Valley Tournament".

She sang "Oh you beautiful doll" while dancing with

this big Raggedy Andy that hooked on her feet.

She won the talent show at school that year.

My other kids will be glad I don't have pictures of their talent shows or they would have shown up on my blog too.

But my favorite performances were the ones at home....the private ones.

Here is what I call the DI Hat Boogie Down:

Shake, rattle, and roll with the tags still on the hats.

We still have some of those classic hats in our "dress-up" box.

Thanks kids for the memories!!!!!!!

Good times. I was really obsessed with ventriloquists when I was a child. Weird. Love the memories. Love you Mom.
