would grow up to be so smart!!!
Just a proud momma braggin on her boy...
Well, OK he is 32, a man, but never the less...
He will always be my "boy"!!
Mac got word this week that he passed his
PHD test
with "DISTINCTION"
I say that is:
"Awesome"
"Fabulous"
"Amazing"
and...
A "HUGE RELIEF"
He had to read 200 books in Spanish in preparation for the test.
He also had to read more books [50?] in his area of expertise.
Which is something inLatin American Literature.
He did his Masters thesis on an Argentine Poet.
Can't wait to see what he does his Dissertation on.
I won't be able to read it anyway as it will be in"Spanish"
The test was in 2 parts.
The first week there were 4 essay questions.
He had from Wednesday about 10:00am
until Saturday about 11:00am to write the essays.
All in Spanish...
He got about 5 hours sleep that week during his test.
Priscila and the kids moved into a hotel so he could take it from home.
The next Wednesday he had to start all over again.
The 2nd part was 2 essay questions in his field of expertise.
He had the same amount of time, but I think it was even harder for him.
Once again his family moved out so he could concentrate.
Then he had to wait a month to find out if he passed.
This allows him to write his proposal in the next 30 days for his dissertation
and then he has until next spring to publish.
Doug and I are so proud of him!!!
A shout out to Mac.!!!
OuOuOu! OuOu! OuOu!
Also a shout out to Priscila!!
She is the motivator....the one who keeps him going.
And they did it with three kids and a baby on the way!!
WE ARE SO PROUD!!!!
I appreciate the sacrifice they are making both financially and physically.
Love you guys!!!
