Happy Birthday to Doug! His Birthday is Thursday the 26th of June, but we decided to celebrate it today with a cook out. Everyone but Mac's family was able to come. Instead of Birthday cake he wanted "pineapple pie" [a family favorite]. Carly made her now famous cinnamon rolls again [yummy treat]. We had a variety of kabobs from Sniders which Lex grilled, raspberry goo [another family favorite] baked beans, cheesy potatoes, green salad and ice cream for the kids. We had a great time. I hope you enjoy the slide show. OK so Carly put it together, I am not quite that advanced yet. I especially like the picture of Doug in the chair. It cracks me up. This is a typical Doug picture. The picture of Doug and me is the first one since Robin's wedding 2 years ago. We are camera shy. LouJean, Doug's mom gave him a touching gift. She had 4 pictures from his childhood that he had not seen before matted and framed. She got a "smile" out of him and that was a great reward. It was a great party on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
By the way, Doug is 59. He is a great man, hard worker, fantastic father, and loving husband.
He puts up with all my quirky ways and takes very good care of me and the rest of the family. I especially like his interaction with the grand kids. He is the family favorite. I love him.

Wow, I feel like I'm still on the mission and I'm looking at pictures of you guys celebrating my birthday without me. Oh well, me have no money. I guess I'll have to get used to attending family parties via the family blogosphere. Tell Dad 'parabéns' and 'Feliz aniversário!'
I miss hearing you sing your "christmas time, easter rhyme" song! I remember you singing that to everyone on their birthday. It looks like you guys had a great birthday celebration.
